Unlike before though, it was a bit of a sad moment. I was looking at it as it sat on my bedside table. I had just taken it off for the last time, never to put in on again.
That day marked the end of a great two years for me. I learned so much and really built a foundation that I feel I can base my life on. I met some of the greatest people, and I feel like they made an impact on my life that is much greater than I could ever have on them. It really was the best two years.
I like to think that I've applied the things I learned in Ohio. It hasn't been easy, but it has certainly made the last year just that much better. Since I got home, I have:
- Increased my GPA by more than 1 point.
- Gotten four jobs.
- Hear from several people that more people that I taught got baptized.
- Figured out my major and what I want to do with my life.
- Lost 10 pounds.
- Always had a church calling/didn't go less active.
- Found my future roommate...for life.
