Slice of Life: Day 14

I'm going to report to you how everything is going with the new diet and workout regime.
Let's just say...I remembered why so many diets fail: The first two weeks SUCK.
Since I've been out of the habit of doing physical things lately, my whole body aches. I'm crazy hungry and I really just want to munch on the cheesecake bar sitting in my kitchen, teasing me from all the way over here. Still, bagels and small helpings of cereal make a decent dinner too....
Last time, it took about a week to adjust to everything, but once I settled into the routine, it got a lot easier. Getting back in the habit of taking care of yourself is the hard part. Once you really get things rolling though, you just feel great about life and yourself and everything. I'm using that as my motivation.
The odd thing is, last time it was the hunger that fueled me to keep going. Everytime I felt the desire to eat I knew that I was losing weight and getting in better shape. I'm trying to remember what that was like, because it sure made it a lot easier.
But for now, I'm suffering tonight. I'm tired and would love to go to bed but still have some school work to do. Alas.
