Yeah, so I missed days 11 and 12. I was busy.
Anyways, I'm starting a new diet and exercise regime. School is officially done on Thursday, and I'm going to take advantage of this break. I'm not going to kid myself that it will last longer than summer break, but there you go. I'm not setting any weight loss goals, other than "Look Good,", which I already do. Basically, I'm cutting the sweets, eating more protein, exercising more, getting more tan, and losing a few flabs. I'm trying to look good for the wedding, and since it's not too far away, I thought I'd do what I can.
I tried this while I was on my mission, and it worked really well. I would up losing 15 pounds in 6 weeks, which is a little less than the actual time to the wedding (54 days). It goes thus: Get a good morning workout, and then continue to workout throughout the day. That involves running a mile, doing tons of ab workouts, but mostly push ups. I start with a hundred number that will increase weekly (so for this week, I'm starting at 300 pushups, next week 400, ect. ect.). Otherwise, stay active, walk a lot (not a problem since work is a 3o minute walk anyways) and then, eat better. That will go like this: After morning workout, drink a weight loss shake (I recommend the equate shakes, since they are cheaper and do the exact same thing). After about 2 hours, have some fruit and fiber. For lunch, have another shake with some small solid food item, with perhaps some more fiber. Between lunch and dinner, have a protein bar to keep you going. Then have a reasonable dinner, with not too much fatty food and dessert but lots of veggies and fruit. Just use common sense. Then, I'm done for the night. No more eating until I wake up the next morning. I'm not too worried about the desire to eat, since the new drugs pretty much kill my appetite, which I think is a great side effect.
Last time I did this, I lost a ton of weight, and actually would up gaining a lot of muscle. The trick was to eat as much protein as I could but nix the candy and as much of the carbs as I could. It worked really well and I was in great shape at the end of it.
So, I'm trying it again. Hopefully it will work, but we shall see.
Yay! Can't wait to get this toe cast off so I can go running with you again.
