What it all comes down to.

To my small blogging community: An announcement.

The biggest announcement of my life.

I'm engaged! To the girl of my dreams.

We're getting married in August.

22 years of preparation and waiting are leading up to August.

The last two days have been the greatest of my whole life.

I'm floating somewhere between heaven and cloud nine.

It's already been a blast. We've spent every waking moment of the last two days within five feet of each other, usually closer. And there have already been some major improvements of engaged life over my single life.

Here are a few advantages to this whole "being engaged thing:"

• Tons of new facebook friends from now being able to add everybody she is related to.
• Having the spotlight totally focused on you for something that really means something.
• Getting a sweet quilt from my grandma.
• Having a tangible symbol of us (Her ring is blingin'. She has really good taste.)
• I haven't heard my Mom that happy for a long time.
• Not feeling like it's my moral obligation to check out every girl that walks by for prospect reasons.
• Getting engaged right before President Monson rips into every single young man.
• And many more too numerous to list.
  

Oh yeah, the whole Celestial Kingdom with Brooke for eternity thing sounds like a lot of fun.

Anyways, it's late. Good thing I've had this particular blog post in preparation for the last two days, waiting for the right time to post it. I have soooo much to do now, with finals coming soon and a wedding to plan.

But not just any wedding. It's mine.

I just hope you all get to meet her and get to know her. She's the greatest person I've ever met, and I love her with all my heart. And, she's mine!

I'm happy. As happy as I've ever been.
