Anyways, it's been a good week. Many life lessons learned. In fact, I appreciate weeks like this. I shall now proceed to tell you why.
It involved many fun activities which include (but are not limited to...)
- Camping, even though it was on cement outside the marriot center.
- Basketball, even though we lost.
- Skipping class, even though my grades will suffer.
- Long talks with Brooke, even though we never seem to cover all the bases.
- Staying up for ridiculous amounts of time, even though I should try sleeping for once.
- Making it on the news, even though it was on a sad subject
- Somehow finding a way to laugh about Brandon Davies, even though...you know.
The most important thing was that BYU and Brandon Davies are willing to stand by principle. I appreciate that and I'm glad to be a part of BYU right now. Sure, we would have gotten a lot of national attention if we got to the final four. But let's face facts, it may or may not have been attention on the church. But now everybody knows that BYU stands its ground and that religious principles are more important than hoops. That's the kind of national attention that we need.
Other random happening: I've been planning the future a lot recently, and I feel good about it. I feel confident that my career path is right for me. I feel good about the person that I will become. I feel good about the help that I could have with me. It's a good feeling to have.
Let's just say, heading into a weekend without homework, I'm at peace with life.
So, naturally, I had to blog about it.
happened to be stalking your blog stumbled upon your reference to laughing about the Brandon Davies thing, and it inspired a new phrase:
ReplyDelete"I'm just stuffed with depression.....Davies stuffed the ball in other peoples' faces....AAHHHHH!"
and also:
"I'm trying to suspend my disbelief that something like this could happen....suspend.....Davies got suspended....AAAHHHHHHH!"
